About MeMary Ann Willoughby graduated from Tri–State College of Acupuncture with a master’s degree in the Science of Acupuncture and is licensed and recognized by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture in NY. Mary Ann will complete her MSOM degree in 2009, focusing on the use of Herbal therapy. She has studied Yoga for over 10 years in the Iyengar tradition and is currently studying Sanskrit, mantra and meditation with her teacher Manorama.
Mary Ann was a professional dancer and teacher for twenty years. In search of exploring the world through new eyes she picked up a camera and began to record images on film and in word. This led her to spend a year in East Africa studying music and building an instrument. She was introduced to traditional healers and herbal medicine while living on an island off the Indian Ocean. In 1997 she returned to New York where she felt the call to pursue the healing arts after meeting and working with Abdi Assadi, a profound healer and acupuncturist here in NYC. Mary Ann continues to be inspired and deeply grateful for all that she has learned and received from all her teachers. |

Mary Ann will begin formal studies in Ayurvedic Healing, advanced Yoga and Vedic Astrology in the fall of 2009. Presently she is a faculty member of TSCA where she has been clinical supervisor and assistant to Emilie Connor and Kiiko Matsumoto in didactic classes.
